WILDLIFE
Otters, pine martin, red squirrel and deer can be
seen in the area. You might even be able to snap an
otter with your camera. We are only an hour away from
the sea where Whale and dolphin watch cruises can
be arranged.
BIRDWATCHING
An ideal location to do a spot of birdwatching. Native
birds include: The Osprey, Peregrine, Kestrel, Sparrow
Hawks, Tawny, Barn, Long and Short eared Owls, Finches,
Long tailed Tits, Redwings, Crossbills, Oyster catchers.
Visit the dramatic coastline, see the gannet colony,
eider ducks, geese, swans, stonechats, yellowhammers,
corn bunting, linnets and gray partridges.
ON THE WATER
There are plenty of opportunities for canoeing, diving,
boat charter, sea angling, loch fishing, etc.
ON LAND
Hill walkers and cyclists are especially welcome.
This is an ideal base from which to climb the many
Corbetts in the area. There are many hill tracks and
forest walks to suit all abilities. Drying facilities
are available and we have a secure store for bikes.
