A great family weekend event with one of the largest collections of traditional boats in Scotland, where you can discover, enjoy and participate in maritime activities, craft demonstrations, a non stop programme of music, dance and drama, a food fayre, a road run and much much more.

In addition to providing a single weekend of family fun and participation, the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival sets out to promote, with the young in particular, awareness of, and participation in, the rich traditional culture and skills of Scotland's North East. This is achieved by way of an expanding programme of music tuition, sailing and boat building and participation in the visual arts.
