This small wood is the most popular
in the whole forest district! There are three waymarked
circular walks which lead you through a variety of woodland
from the huge mature conifers, which create a cathedral-like
atmosphere, to open viewpoints over the surrounding
farmland. The waymarked horse trail which threads its
way along the forest edge is also very popular with
riders.
How
to get there:
If driving on the A93, take the unclassified road north
at the junction at Bieldside church, turn right at the
T-junction then first left and the forest car park at
sign posted on your left, approx. 200m from the T-junction.
